May 2016: Indian Church Government School Visit – La Milpa Field Station, Belize
An overnight trip was organized through Programme for Belize and funded by the Friends of Retzer Nature Center in Wisconsin for students, teachers and parents of the Indian Church Government School on May 14-15, 2016. The Board at Retzer Nature Center has been sponsoring an overnight trip for schools in the area around the Rio Bravo Reserve for three years now, and it has made a difference in the way rural villages in Belize view and understand the work that Programme for Belize does with regard to sustainable conservation management of a tropical lowland forest area larger than Waukesha County.
